For the past five years I have worked as a volunteer with Jehovah's Witnesses to create web-based translation software including audio/video recording and editing. For the past year I have worked as the lead designer for a cloud based audio recording software package with multi-track editing capabilities, AI effects processing, and AI voice generating.
The team is made-up of about 50 volunteers worldwide and I work with the UX/UI group. The software will enable translation teams in remote places around the world to record and edit high quality media without the need for expensive equipment, due to the editing work being cloud based. The software will also allow for realtime collaboration, making the translation work available to more volunteers to support the efforts.
Below is an example of a simple mobile application I worked on for tablets and phones to allow users from around the world with limited experience to record audio in their local languages.
We generally work with the agile environment along with the developers and we iterate back and forth. Our work is planned and tracked through Azure DevOps and I often create and manage feature and bug tickets.
